Taking part in an Erasmus programme turned out to be one of the most enriching decisions of my academic journey. Studying in the beloved city of Ljubljana, at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Ljubljana, allowed me to experience a different work culture, fostering adaptability, independence, and critical thinking.
Studying in Ljubljana was essential for my path in environmental health, as it is one of the most sustainable cities in the world—voted European Green Capital in 2016, with a completely pedestrianised historical centre.
This experience goes far beyond academics. It is an unmissable opportunity for anyone looking to grow both personally and professionally. Make the most of it, as time flies by! Try everything and live the experience wholeheartedly, because in the end, memories are what stay with you.
Not everything goes as planned (if you arrive and don’t have housing yet, it’s okay!), and that is all part of the process. It is precisely those unexpected moments that make the experience even more memorable and often better than imagined.
Erasmus is not just studying abroad; it is learning to live independently, building international connections, and better preparing for the future.
