Faculty of Health Sciences is an educational and research institution in the field of eight allied health sciences. It offers the first cycle degree of university education in Sanitary Engineering and the first cycle degree of higher professional education in Midwifery, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Laboratory Dental Prosthetics, Orthotics and Prosthetics, Radiologic Technology and Nursing.
During the first cycle degree study programme students acquire the knowledge and the most important skills needed for the contemporary job market. The graduates possess the general knowledge encompassing a wide subject range. They are aware of the importance of interdisciplinary teamwork and the patients’ active role in the management and treatment of their disease.
During the second cycle degree programme, the students deepen and broaden their knowledge in subjects from the first cycle degree and/or enhance their professional competence through other disciplines. The programme prepares the students for doctoral studies, life-long learning and independent scientific research.
